Suhail Galadari Ali, 55, is a husband,
father of 25- and 18-year-old daughters, and a successful businessman who runs
a business in Dubai; he’s traveled and lived all over the world. When he
learned that he had polycystic kidney disease (PKD), a genetic disease
that eventually leads to kidney failure and the need for a kidney transplant;
he told only a handful of people about the diagnosis. “The diagnosis was a
shock as none in my family had PKD,” recalls Suhail. His kidney function slowly
declined, which meant it was time for him, to begin researching transplant
facilities to find one they felt comfortable with.
No doubt, Suhail Galadari Ali started
having dialysis in Dubai and continued it for a long time. However, it was a
troublesome process for the entire family. The side-effects were quite
noticeable in the form of fatigue. To cease all the hassle, he ultimately
decided to have a kidney transplant. He consulted a kidney specialist in Dubai,
who after conducting all the physical examination referred him to India due to
the availability of better medical infrastructure and the latest
technologies. After searching for the best kidney transplant centers, he came
across Best Kidney Transplant Service Provided by Forerunners Healthcare.
He posted a query about kidney transplant in India by email id enquiry@forerunnershealthcare.com,
soon after which he was contacted by the case manager with the list of best
nephrologist in India for
affordable cost of kidney transplant in India.
To expedite the process, the case
manager took his reports and took opinions from some of the best hospitals
for a kidney transplant in India. After his wife, mother, and
most of his family members all learned that their blood tests had resulted in
unsuccessful donor matches, hope seemed lost. In the end, it was his daughter
Mariam, who stepped up to save Suhail’s life. When Mariam’s results came back
as a match, the family decided to travel to India to have the transplant
procedure.
Suhail with his daughter Mariam finally
decided to fly to India and meet the surgeon. On Suhail’s arrival in India, they
were picked up by a team member of forerunners healthcare consultants and taken
to the hotel. A day after, his appointment was booked with one of the
finest nephrologists in India. He took a detailed case history of the patient
and meticulously performed all the physical examinations and the surgeon
cautioned them about the complex surgery and estimated about 9 hours of kidney transplant
surgery.
After the test reports came out
favorable, the date was scheduled for the kidney transplant in India and
the 9 hours of kidney transplant surgery was performed, the body accepted the
donor's kidney and started to function with minimal immune-rejection symptoms.
"This whole process was
concerning for me because I was worried about Mariam," Suhail said. “We
have had hardly any problems and are very thankful." “That was quite an
experience. The hospital was quite different from those in Dubai. I found the
hospital to be particularly clean and very well organized. The staff was very
professional, always ready to help and always spoke gently to help us
understand,” recounts Suhail. Five days later, the two were discharged from the
hospital after the best nephrologist in India, successfully
signed off on the two.
A month after arriving in India, Suhail
and Mariam made their way back to their home in Dubai. Both Suhail and his daughter
Mariam is recovering quickly. "It's a relief to be off the dialysis
machine, very freeing," Suhail added. "I've never felt better. He was
extremely glad as he finally got rid of the painful and stressful life that he
had in the past. Everything turned out well, and I feel very fortunate to live
a healthy life after 9 hours of kidney transplant surgery."
